Summer Baseball Camps at The Edge
Camp II: July 13 – 17 (Monday – Friday)
As we operate our camps, we are monitoring and following the COVID-19 Guidelines published by the State of Colorado. You can access a comprehensive set of these guidelines by downloading the state’s COVID-19 Safer at Home Public Health Order Guidance document. There are two sections in this document that pertain directly to the programs and type of facility represented by The Edge Sports Center: Personal Recreation/Indoor Sports Facilities and 2) Children’s Day Camps/Youth Sports Camps.

Choose from four different camp levels to fit your player's age and skill level:
Tee-Ball and Advanced Tee-Ball Camp
This camp is a great way to get your 4-year-old (soon to be 5) or your 5-year old child started in baseball. No previous experience is necessary. Camp covers basic baseball skills including throwing and catching the ball, fielding grounders and fly balls, playing your position and running the bases. Camp is appropriate for new and returning Tee-ball players as well for players making the transition to “Coach Pitch” baseball.
- Ages 4 – 5 (must turn 5 by 9/15/2020)
- 2:30 – 3:30 pm each day (1 hour per day)
Beginning Baseball Camp
This camp is targeted for players who have little to no experience playing baseball. All basic offensive and defensive skills will be taught including throwing, catching, fielding grounders and fly balls, hitting, basic base running and position skills. Basic Pitcher and Catcher instruction is also provided for those players that are interested.
- Grades K – 6
- 11:15 am – 12:30 pm each day (1.25 hours per day)
Returning Recreational Player Baseball Camp
This camp is targeted for players who have played at least one season of baseball at the Recreational Level. All basic offensive and defensive skills will be taught including throwing, catching, fielding grounders and fly balls, hitting, basic base running and position skills. Pitcher and Catcher instruction is also provided for those players that are interested.
- Grades K – 8
- 12:45 – 2:15 pm each day (1.5 hours per day)
Advanced Baseball Camps for Intermediate and Competitive/Travel Team players.
This camp is targeted for both Competitive/Travel Team and FCBC Intermediate League players as well as for players who will be trying out for teams at those levels of play. Players in these camps must be willing and eager to work hard to improve their overall baseball skills. Topics covered include fielding, playing your position, hitting mechanics, bunting, complete baserunning skills, team defense and game situations. Pitcher and Catcher instruction is also provided for those players that are interested.
- Ages 8 – 14
- 8 – 11 am each day (3 hours per day)

Poudre High School Assistant Varsity Coach Matt Carver will be leading these camps!
Coach Matt Carver is in his third year as a coach at Poudre High School. He spent his first two years as the JV Head Coach and is currently the Infield Coach for Varsity. Prior to coaching at the high school, he coached a local 13u competitive team. Coach Carver has been providing private lessons here at The Edge for the past 3 years for ages 5 – 18. Along with his baseball background, Matt is also The Edge General Manager!
