Small Group Hitting Instruction
Our Small Group Hitting Training Program focuses exclusively on improving the player’s ability to hit the baseball successfully. Groups are small with a maximum of 6 players per instructor. The session format is one hour per week for 6 weeks.
With the low instructor-to-player ratio and the multi-week nature of the program, the instructors not only get to know the players’ hitting strengths and needed improvement areas but also get to know them as individuals. Improvement is made through a combination of demonstrations of proper technique by the instructor, tee-work, soft-toss work, and live-throw work. Players will get plenty of swings in each session.
These classes will be led by Edge Baseball Instructor Tony Cortese and current high school coach and Edge General Manager, Matt Carver
FCBC Intermediate Pre-tryout Camp
Our FCBC Intermediate Pre-tryout Camp focuses exclusively on sharpening players baseball skills as they prepare for the Intermediate Tryout on Sunday, March 7th. Through this camp, players will receive repetition and gain confidence leading into the tryout. With the tryout being held at The Edge, the camp provides an opportunity to get comfortable with the tryout environment.
Instructors will cover hitting, throwing, catching, running, and other baseball skills to knock off the off-season rust. Players will also be taught proper tryout etiquette, focusing on work ethic, attitude and effort.

Instructional Baseball Leagues
Our Instructional Baseball Leagues are designed for beginning and intermediate players (not for ‘travel team’ players). No experience is necessary. These programs will help to get your player ready for the upcoming season.
Instruction is provided by experienced, local baseball instructors.
Leagues cover both individual and team skills. All baseball skills are covered (as time and age allows): hitting, base running, fielding, pitching, and position play.
Session time is split 50-50 between skill building through drills and small-sided, controlled games (no scores are kept). The focus is on LEARNING and on HAVING FUN!
Equipment Required: All players must have their own glove. Bats and batting helmets can be borrowed from The Edge during each session. Players should come in ‘baseball attire:’ baseball pants, jersey, and baseball cap.
